It was mostly cloudy, warm, and muggy, with rain and cooler temperatures in the forecast for later today and tomorrow. I hiked here in Old Trail for about 3 hours this morning, and ended up with 31 avian species, including 3 warbler and 7 sparrow species. I birded along my normal routes - the trails along the golf course pond and fairway #1, Western Park, and Slabtown Branch Creek. At least one of the Tennessee Warbler must have been a first fall male, as it had quite bright, single, wing bars.
