It was another hot day here, so I decided to take a short hike along Slabtown Branch Creek where I have been seeing Blue Grosbeaks. I wanted to try once again to find their nest to photograph newly hatched chicks. I ended up with 16 avian species, and finally got some looks at the Blue Grosbeaks near the end of my hike. The few times they were close to me, they were also hidden behind foliage, but I did manage a few distant photos. It appears that my quest to find their nest is over, as I saw papa, mama, and junior foraging together. In the first photo, papa is in the center behind some foliage, and I think that mama is on the left and junior is on the right.
