A cool front moved in late yesterday, bringing some strong thunderstorms and temperatures in the 70s. I wanted to see if the front had ushered in any warblers to the parkway, and wanted to get up there before forecasted afternoon rain started. It was overcast, with occasional light sprinkles and scattered wispy fog. It really wasn't very "birdy," but I did manage to log 24 avian species there. I had Hooded Warblers in three locations, and heard one Ovenbird.
