Rockfish Valley Trail 11/7/14

All photos are © Marshall Faintich

I wanted to do some more parameter testing with my new camera body, and had a couple of hours free this morning, so I headed over to the trail. It was partly sunny, and the brisk wind made the low 50 temperature feel much colder. I ended up with 22 species on the trail. The most interesting were a Hermit Thrush that had the darkest wings I have seen on this species, and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet that had bright orange-yellow feet rather than the usual darker orange-yellow feet.
