Cold temperatures and bright, sunny skies made for a good day for birding in Crozet. I started out at a new place for me - the trails along the creek in Old Trails where there is a community garden and a soccer field. There were lots of birds there - mostly sparrows, and I ended up with 16 species at this site.

Next stop was Lickinghole Creek and reservoir. Although it wasn't as "birdy" as Old Trail, I did see 21 species there and added 12 new species to today's list.
