Cold temperatures and bright, sunny skies made for a good day for birding in Crozet. I started out at a new place for me - the trails along the creek in Old Trails where there is a community garden and a soccer field. There were lots of birds there - mostly sparrows, and I ended up with 16 species at this site.

Stops at Beaver Creek Reservoir, Mint Springs Park, and King Family Vineyards didn't add many birds, and only two more species for the day: Dark-eyed Junco and Red-bellied Woodpecker.
