I saw an American Kestrel harassing a Red-shouldered Hawk. When the Kestrel saw me, it flew away, and the hawk didn't mind my getting close for some photos in appreciation of my efforts.

When Andy and I arrived at the other section of the marsh, we saw a Snail Kite flying as soon as we arrived, and it landed in a distant tree. Another Snail Kite was on the nearby ground, and they were soon joined by a third Kite. All three were juveniles.

In the middle of the marsh I saw two more Snail Kites, one a female and the other looked like a Basic II male.

On the right side of the marsh, and closer to where we could walk, I saw three more Snail Kites, two of them appeared to be Basic III (subadult) males, and one was an adult male.
