Rockfish Valley Trail 11/4/12

With the arrival of standard time, getting up an hour earlier to go birding is my least favorite option, so I decided to see what might be on the trail late in the afternoon. I arrived at 3:00 and had 22 species by 4:30, when the sun was just about ready to go behind Three Ridges, leaving the trail in only twilight. The highlight of the afternoon was seeing a Lincoln's Sparrow, as I haven't seen one on the trail for about a week. Most of the birds I saw were Song Sparrows.
