I headed over to Lickinghole Creek trail and lake to look for any shorebirds that might have been displaced by the superstorm, but didn't stay very long as it started to drizzle. There was a Kingfisher on the lake, two Killdeers on the sand bar, and a mixed flock of Mallards and Gadwalls on the lake.

It was supposed to be sunny today, but when I arrived at the trail at 9:20 this morning, there was almost complete cloud cover. By 10:20 there was 50 percent cloud cover, and a half hour later it was cloudy again. There were lots of birds out, especially sparrows, but not as many birds as when I was on the trail two days ago and logged 37 species. I ended up with only 31 species this morning, but 7 of them were species that I did not see two days ago on the trail.
