It was not as hot and muggy today, so I went to the trail at 2:45 this afternoon, and stayed until 4:15. The high 80's were still hot, although relatively cool given the high heat and humidity of the past week. I managed to see 17 species, with the highlight being a Willow Flycatcher.

Eastern Bluebird
Indigo Bunting
American Crow
Field Sparrow
Chipping Sparrow
Song Sparrow
American Goldfinch
Eastern Phoebe
Eastern Wood-Pewee
Eastern Kingbird
Willow Flycatcher
Northern Cardinal
Turkey Vulture
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Cedar Waxwing
Catbird
Rock Pigeon

Cedar Waxwings

Willow Flycatcher

I also saw a pair of whirly birds flying over the trail.
