The last daylight savings morning of 2010. Tomorrow I will have to get out an hour earler to match the sunlight. However, I started my hike this morning around 8:30, and it really was too dark for a lot of activity - 30 minutes later was better. I wanted to check if there were any migratory waterfowl on Lake Monocan or any of the ponds, but all I saw were 6 Mallards on one of the ponds. In less than 2 hours I had 20 species here in Stoney Creek. A large flock of 100+ Cedar Waxwings was in a tree at the end of Stoney Creek East Drive - I see large flocks of them in this same tree every year.
