We had a couple of inches of rain last night, and this morning it was foggy and
cloudy, but I ventured out to see if any ducks decided to spend the night here.
In addition to seeing some of the usual resident and early spring birds, RS and
RT Hawks, RW Blackbirds, Bluebirds, White-throated/Song/Field Sparrows,
Vultures, Crows, DE Juncos, Cardinals, Carolina Chickadees, Red-bellied WP, and
Carolina Wrens, there were some Cowbirds and a flock of Chipping Sparrows at my
feeder.
On Lake Monocan, there were 3 female Hooded Mergansers and 1 male Mallard:

On the small pond along Hidden Creek Drive, there was a female Ring-necked Duck:

and there were 2 male Mallards on the pond by the Rodes Farm tennis court. The sun came out, and a Brown Thrasher and a Robin starting singing to each other:
